This year marks the inauguration of a new recognition award for members of Cambria County and the surrounding area. With the inception of the Community Champions Award, PENIEL Residential Drug/Alcohol Treatment Center will recognize men and women who have made significant contributions to the advancement, progress and development of our community.

We are pleased to announce that this year the two winners of the Community Champions Award are The Honorable Gerard Long, Senior Judge and The Honorable Timothy Creany, President Judge.

Both Judge Long and Judge Creany have made a tremendous impact in our region. Peniel knows firsthand about their efforts and their incredible and innovative work in the field of criminal justice.

Peniel will host a benefit banquet Friday, August 24, 2012 at 6:30 PM.  Tickets are $75.00 and all proceeds go toward fighting drug and alcohol addiction at the Peniel facility.

As part of the ceremony we are planning to celebrate the judges and highlight the accomplishments of both honorees. We will also hear from members of the community whose lives have been impacted in a positive way. It will be a great opportunity for the public to show their support and appreciation for these two great leaders in West Central Pennsylvania.
